Great Surrender

If we’re driven by a desire for self-validation, attention, or personal gain, it’s time to reassess our goals and refocus on what truly matters. Let’s ensure that our journeys begin and end with divine purpose.

As I’ve walked through life, strangers have approached me, seemingly drawn to my presence, often seeking autographs or selfies, and while their admiration might seem flattering, it often leaves me feeling uneasy.

My mother wisely says, “No matter how high a bird flies, it still has to come down to drink.”

All glory goes to God for every opportunity we’re given to serve. This is when our business is our ministry and our ministry is His business. This is when we’ve partnered with Jesus to: “Engage in business until [He] comes” (Luke 19:13, ESV).

He also says, “The greatest among you must be a servant.” Matthew 23:11, NLT

Pray: Father, I ask that You search my heart to reveal any selfish motive in me. Your Word says “The heart is deceitful, and desperately wicked.” I seek Your face and study Your Word to maintain Your approval over the assignments that You’ve entrusted to me. I cherish Your wonderful counsel, living affirmed of Your love for me. Amen.
