My work has been called "inspirational," "encouraging," "strong," "powerful," "caring," "beautiful," “life changing,” “challenging,” “intense,” and "amazing." I’m humbled by this feedback along with the monikers "Mama J," "Momma MJ," “Mama Bear,” and "Bear Evangelist!" All are adequate because godly purpose must be founded in love for God and humanity.
The word “humanitarian” describes my life’s work in the sense of
*1) having concern for or helping to improve the welfare and happiness of people.
2) of or relating to ethical or theological humanitarianism.
3) pertaining to the saving of human lives or to the alleviation of suffering: a humanitarian crisis
Indeed, it is my passion to help people operate in their fullest potential. It is also my purpose. I aspire daily to be a conduit of healing and inspiration by the power of the Holy Spirit to deal with the inner person. For me, my college degrees and ministerial certifications serve as a means to that end. My educational experiences have taught me about the world and human behavior, but spiritual intimacy with God--to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles--has forged my love and compassion for the hurting, struggling, abandoned, and abused.
I live on the other side of fear and judgment because I've come to know who I am in Christ. "For in him [I] live and move and exist . . . '[I am] his offspring.'" I am MJ and I am LIVING AFFIRMED** as I WALK CONFIDENTLY IN MY DIVINE PURPOSE!**
