Greatness doesn’t apologize for being great. When you’re walking in your purpose, because of your hard work and focus your goals get realized, projects get completed, wisdom abounds, weapons against you don’t prosper, quitting is never an option, and greatness follows.

There are those who can’t see you beyond their level of faith. Skeptics. You can’t let their faith affect your faith. This road is long and narrow. People’s approval is not your standard for validation. God has already approved your presence in the world. Meditate the reality that He intentionally conceived you in His mind and you became.

You are the product of God’s faith, the substance of what He hoped for and the evidence of what He both saw and caused you to be. Yes YOU. Don’t you dare allow people’s “snubbery” to lessen your personal value (yes I made up the word snubbery). If the adversary can’t stop you, he’ll try to steal the joy of your success. Don’t let him. He’s a thief, know that. The joy of the Lord is your STRENGTH. Cherish it.

Don’t let someone else’s demons irritate your soul, take up residence in your mind, subvert your will, or wreck your emotions—not even for a moment.

For example, years ago, a plethora of lies were told about me from my youth as an offensive tactic by my abuser. Then, again, later in life between marriages. When God constrained me, through spiritual counsel, not letting me defend myself, it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. One, I could have. Two, I so desperately wanted to.

But I was told that every minister of the Gospel comes to this Rubicon, for spiritual promotion. It took sheer willpower—until I learned to rest in the Lord’s strength to avenge me! I know Him to be a Rescuer. He’s always present to help when you’re in need. Granted, some seasons seem unending. There can seem to be no hope in sight. It is during these times of maintaining uprightness that your character is developed to be more like Christ’s. It is a reckoning of death to your flesh. It is necessary for your greatness. Not all will find this path, nor maintain it. But those who do have an eternal crown coming from God as His recognition of your patient overcoming.

People will seek ways to cancel your life’s assignment—whether subliminally or overtly— but you must reckon it to their fear and jealousy of your greatness, and their frustrated lack of authority to halt your destiny. Cheer up, that could be you.

M. J. Smith
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17, KJV
