Comfort Others

The impetus and foundational scripture of Falcon’s Vision is this: “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians 1:4, NLT

Like you, I have suffered for the sake of the cross, yet not always without sinning. Once I decided to follow Jesus, submitting to His teachings in obedience to God’s will, it seems I became a “project” for the enemy’s testings; aka, his attacks and irritations. I’m sure you can relate.

Like those pesky no-see-ums that buzz about, most times undetectable and uncatchable, the devil relentlessly tries to frustrate us off course. But as we stand in the authority of Christ, submitting to God and opposing the devil, he flees, defeated. In Christ, we get the victory.

When the enemy assails, cry out to God in your suffering. That’s what Jesus did! It is your reverential trust that guarantees your prayers will be heard and answered. While you gain the victory, you’ll also receive the key to comfort others in their suffering.

Be encouraged, although disobedience leads to death—both spiritually and physically—obedience leads to LIFE, both here and eternally!

“During the days of Jesus’ earthly life, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered” (Hebrews 5:7-8, BSB).

Pray: Father, while I suffer the death of my flesh, wherein there is “no good thing,” help me to remember my commitment to Christ Jesus—to follow Him for an abundant life on earth. In Him, also, I have eternal life in Heaven! Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who both strengthens me and assists me to obey. In Him I enjoy repeated victories.🙌🏽 The “Comforter” comforts me so that I can also comfort others. Thank You God! Amen.🙏🏽
